Old School Guide Service is located an hour west of Kansas City. Mike Nickels is a third generation Jefferson County, Kansas native and Mike’s family roots are deep in the hunting tradition.

Limited access hunts will insure a large population of healthy game whether you are after that once in a lifetime buck, or a 20 plus pound tom turkey. We are a small outfitter that will provide you a remembered hunt, aka vacation with comfortable lodging, and the opportunity to bring home a trophy deer or turkey.

Old School Guide Service aggressively manages its land resources for wildlife habitat. Wildlife habitat design and farm management has gained Old School Guide Service access to additional property to offer hunts for Trophy Whitetail and Turkey. Habitat management plans are tailored for each property to provide a balance of travel corridors and food plots.
