Finding time to enjoy the Kansas spring turkey season is difficult for all hunters. For some, their service to our country makes it much more important to get away and relax in the woods. Such is the case when Wound Warriors United sponsored U.S. Veterans at  Old School Guide Service for a spring turkey hunt. The image above notes the happy faces of a U.S. Veteran and his Jefferson County guide.

We were priviledged to host four British Army Officers in May of 2023 to hunt Kansas turkeys. Thanks to their 16 yr old Jefferson County guide two out of the four were successful in their quest. Thank you gentleman for choosing hunting over Nashville!
Our guide Forrest walked Tyler through the steps to harvest his first Gobbler!
A thrilling day for both. Hope to see Tyler and siblings in 2024.

The final day of the 2020 Spring KS Gobbler season and Team A hit a home run. The youngest daughter, the impatient one, stayed up most of the night Saturday thinking it must be time to go. She even made pancakes to wake her Daddy up sooner. One pic is worth a thousand words.
